As some of you may know we as a company regularly support the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity. To raise money we regularly partake in events such as Be Seen in Green Day and our annual Toy Appeal. As well as these events, all of our staff generously donate from their salaries.
However, last month we were introduced to Charlotte Jennings. Charlotte is a patient at the hospital who is currently battling a very rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. However since her diagnosis, Charlotte has set herself the challenge of raising money for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and Ward 84, the children’s cancer unit at the hospital, both which she has spent time on.
For her challenge, Charlotte has decided that for her 13th birthday she would like to get as much donations for the hospital as possible, that’s why on 25th April (her birthday) Charlotte is inviting 160 guests to a night to remember at the Hallmark Hotel in Handforth.
As the event neared Charlotte still needed a sponsor for the event, when the team at Hilton Smythe heard we were compelled to help. Sponsoring the event is very important for everyone at Hilton Smythe, Charlotte is a very determined individual and her spirit has really touch everyone at the company. It’s really inspiring to see someone so young really determined to help others, that’s why we decided to help out.
