Hilton Smythe welcomes to the market B & M Autos, which was established by the current owner in 2000, who is looking to go into a well earned retirement.

The garage specialises in vehicle sales, servicing, repairs and MOT’s of any vehicle make and model. With a good repeat client base and a high level of word of mouth recommendations to new custom.

MOT’s are currently carried out off site, however, there is a licence for MOT’s on site, offering huge potential to boost turnover.

As the owner is looking to move into retirement, there has not been investment in a website or social media pages, a serious consideration for the purchaser to promote the assets of the business to new custom.

Hilton Smythe highly advise early viewing to avoid disappointment.

We are advised the business is being sold as a leasehold business opportunity.
The lease is currently on a rolling lease arrangement, and the landlord will be looking to grant a new lease to the new owner of the business.
The current owner has paid £7,000 per annum rent for the last 17 years, however, we are advised the rent will increase, currently we do not have a full indication as to how much this will increase by and is to be negotiated with the Landlord.

The business opening hours:

The business is run and managed by our client, with the help of a part time member of staff, this is due to the owner looking to retire.

Financial Profile

B & M Autos generated an advised turnover of circa £102,000 as of the 2017 accounts, with a gross profit of around 40%.

B & M Autos is located in Surfleet, just outside of Spalding within Lincolnshire.

The garage is located next to a café, which is open 7 days a week and opposite St. Laurence Church bringing good footfall to the area.

There is parking for numerous vehicles on the garage forecourt and there is a bus stop directly outside the garage.

Outside to the front of the premises is a large courtyard for car sales, this courtyard leads to the side via double gates to a further yard for storage or car sales, this yard leads to the side doors to the rear service area.

The garage is entered from the front by a door to the reception and double concertina doors to the front service area. This service area has the licence for MOT’s and a two post ramp, there is access from here to the reception and to the rear service area.

The rear service area has a further two post ramp and gives access to a large storage area and toilets.

The reception has the office off and leads to the staff room/tea room.
