Description

Hilton Smythe welcome to the market Commodore Yachting, established by our client in 1999 and now offered for sale due their wish to now retire.

The highly regarded business opportunity offers both sailing training courses and bare boat hire.

Currently the turnover is split 70% to booked training courses and 25% from Charters, 5% from other services.

Training courses cover all levels from the beginner to experienced skipper, with the right RYA sailing courses and Solent Yacht Charter to fit the bill. All training courses are run from their specially designed classroom located on the lower deck of the office barge.

Courses are booked a minimum of 4 weeks in advance with average class sizes of 10, in a normal month our client can have 5 boats out with a further 2 boats out as charter hires with as many as 50 places booked.

The core season for bookings is run from April to October however this is the choice of our client who spends winter abroad and could easily be extended.

The business includes an excellent website, a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor and team of highly experienced instructors and experienced RYA instructors.

Opportunity to increase the current turnover would be to add team building and corporate event bookings, private school group bookings, Duke of Edinburgh group bookings and increase the number of longer courses which cost in the region of £10,000 per course.

Currently our client attends the Southampton Boat Show, however increasing the boating events, establishing relationships with smaller boating clubs and dingy clubs would boost the awareness of the business.

Hilton Smythe advise early viewing to avoid disappointment.

Full handover offered.
